python-notmuch software package provides python interface to the notmuch mail search and index library, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python-notmuch
python-notmuch is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python-notmuch package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python-notmuch *
You will get with python-notmuch package name, version, architecture and description in a table
